Beiersdorf

Advisory Board Member

“At Beiersdorf we intend to live up to our responsibility as a global company and make a significant contribution towards limiting global warming.”

This why we are working intensively and continually on reducing our production and transport-related CO2e emissions, on switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, and researching innovative ways of capturing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere to use in our product development.

We have set ourselves a clear and ambitious target of reducing both our direct and indirect CO2e emissions (scope 1-3) by -30% in absolute terms by 2025. This target is in line with independent scientists’ recommendations for avoiding the disastrous consequences of more than a 1.5°C rise in global temperature by 2100. In addition to this target, we are striving to make our production sites climate-neutral by 2030. Both of these are key milestones in realizing our vision of a “Climate Positive Future” We are very happy to take another step towards climate action as a member of the Renewable Carbon Initiative (RCI).
