Sustainability is integral to Clariant’s strategy and business execution. The company has set out clear ambitions to drive sustainability transformation. Clariant has published scope 1, 2 and 3 emission reduction targets for 2030 and is active on all three pillars of the RCI. As examples, on circularity the company runs a company wide program on the circular economy of plastics (EcoCircle) with solutions for mechanical and chemical recycling. On bioeconomy the company has a wide portfolio of bio-based products ranging from care chemicals to advanced bioethanol, as well as catalysts for valorization of CO₂.
