Industrielle Biotechnologie Bayern Netzwerk GmbH (IBB) is convinced of the need to abandon fossil resources for the production of chemicals, materials and fuels, for their use is neither sustainable, nor environmentally friendly, nor suitable for protecting the climate. Using renewable carbon from the three sources identified by nova for manufacturing chemicals and materials is not only a solution to these issues but also provides the opportunity to conduct innovative research and development and to bring truly “green” products to market. However, there is a lot to be done to persuade industry as well as politics to take this path. RCI could develop to a lobbying organization to promote and enforce this evolution. IBB endeavors to support the RC initiative and, together with the other RCI members, to be among the pioneers in this part of a sustainable future economy.

Abandoning or significantly reducing the use of fossil resources is essential for a future economy. The use of renewable carbon is not only a good approach to replace fossil resources, but also offers the opportunity to conduct innovative research and development and bring truly “green” products to the market. IBB supports the RC initiative and wants to be among the pioneers in this area of a sustainable economy.
