Company profile
Lubrizol Engineered Polymers started its sustainability journey more than 15 years ago being the first launch of Bio TPU™ in the market. Since then, we have expanded our portfolio, our bio based* Bio TPU commercialized as ESTANE® ECO and Pearlbond™ ECO thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) have recently been joined by new sustainability initiatives like ESTANE PIR which originates from the use of Post-Industrial Recycle material through a partner network to reduce the TPU carbon footprint, and ESTANE RNW comprising biomass balanced feedstock. However, we acknowledge the chemical and plastics industry is facing enormous challenges in meeting the climate goals set by the European Union and the sustainability expectations of our customers and stakeholders, and that to increase our impact on sustainability, we need to expand the ecosystem we are working on, by increasing our presence in formal forums with diverse stakeholders.
