C.A.R.M.E.N.

C.A.R.M.E.N., the Central Agricultural Resources, Marketing and Energy Network is a non-profit organisation founded in 1992. Since 2001, the network is part of the Centre of Excellence for Renewable Resources in Straubing, Germany.

C.A.R.M.E.N.’s aim is the sustainable transition from fossil to renewable resources in all sectors. To achieve this goal, it offers independent information and practical advice as well as great networking opportunities for all stakeholders. Its main topics include bioenergy, wind and solar energy, bio-based products/bioeconomy, carbon capture and utilisation, biorefinery, advanced recycling, as well as sustainability.

C.A.R.M.E.N. is funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, and the Bavarian Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism. Its around 100 members cover the whole value chains of renewable resources and renewable energy.
